IWhat a share actually comes to
The reference community in our own planning is fifty members at $40 a month — $2,000 a month to you, about $100 a month to us, and roughly $24,000 a year that is yours.
We are paid out of money that has already moved. A quiet month costs you nothing, a first month with three members costs you the price of three members, and there is no invoice waiting for you before you have been paid yourself.
IIAgainst a flat fee
The incumbent charges $99 a month whether your community earned $200 or $20,000. That is a tax on being small and a discount on being large. Here is the whole picture, including the half where we are the more expensive option — you would find that out eventually, and finding it out later is worse.
Below $1,980 a month you pay us less than the flat fee. Above it you pay more, on revenue you would not have had to share at all elsewhere. What you get for it is on the other side of that line: we only make money by making you money, so the roadmap is retention and payments rather than seats.
IIIThe rate you sign at is the rate you keep
The standard rate rises for each new cohort of creators. It never rises for a creator who has already signed.
That is not a promise in a footer. A community’s rate is stored as a dated history rather than a number on a settings page; every payment records the rate that was actually applied to it; and a change can only ever open a new period going forward. Restating what you were charged last quarter is not something we would decline to do — it is not something the system can express.
IVStarting terms
- Bringing a large audience
- 0% for six months, then the standard rate. We migrate you ourselves, by hand, and we do not advertise a migration time we have not proved on your community first.
- Moving an existing community
- The standard rate from day one, with migration support. Your members keep the level they earned.
- Starting your first community
- Free for the first month, then the standard rate. Nothing to cancel if it does not work out.
Whichever applies, you see the entire schedule — promo period and the rate after it — on the day you sign, not when the bill changes.
VWhat we never charge for
Live classes, because you host them yourself and we only run the calendar and the access. Video storage, members, admins, or courses, because metering capacity on top of a revenue share is charging twice for the same thing. And card processing, which is Stripe’s and reaches you at exactly what Stripe charges.
Your members pay you — the charge is on your own Stripe account and you are the merchant of record. Our share is an application fee on top of a payment that was always yours.
Signed in counterpart
Nothing here charges anyone until you connect Stripe and publish a paid tier. Building the community, the classroom and the calendar costs nothing at any point.
